Like the prisoners and Plato's cave, many people trapped in a shadow world of materialism

and consumerism just can't imagine that reality could possibly extend beyond their senses

or shallow desires.

Blind to the light of reality and the gospel, they just miss how God has continuously

revealed himself in the world he's made.

God has infused the world with his presence, in fact, with signs that point us to him

and to his love.

He can be seen for those who have eyes to see and everything, and the beautiful to the

tragic to the mundane.

This premise is at the heart of a new book by Oz Gannis.

It's called Signals of Transcendence, listening to the promptings of life.

In it, Gannis tells the stories of how God has broken through to those trapped and limited

world views of secularism and materialism to will and will and win some of the most familiar

and interesting people to ever join the ranks of believers.

explained the meaning of this phrase Signals of Transcendence.
