mountain come to me uh but uh we got a lot of good movies to talk about so let's get into it

phil what do we what do we think in in terms of overarching things this month anything at all

well we got all sorts of movies coming up in July. We have a bunch of sci-fi faves, a bunch of

foreign flicks. We have some all-time classics. We got all sorts of fun stuff.

Excellent. All right. Well, let's talk about it. Let's dig into it. What's kicking off the month?

So the first weekend, July 1st and 2nd, we're going to kick it off with a double

bill of two tales of friendship and murder in beautiful Europe, both starring Maurice

Renee.

We have Purple Noon from 1960, directed by Renee Clement, adaptation by Renee Clement and

Paul Gagoff from the novel by Patricia Highsmith, paired with

the Champagne Murders from 1967, directed by Claude Chabral, Screenplay by Claude Broulet,

and Derek Prowse from an original story by William Benjamin. Very nice. I know Alrick was all over

these. What do you have to say, sir? I call these the Dickie Greenleaf Double, because really, the character played by Murray-S-Rone,

he's really playing the same character in both movies, essentially, because obviously,
