great to have elrick back um how was your trip i like the as always part because i was like the as always part

because i was like wow i've been gone like two months of this um it was great it was great. But I did want to give a shout. My favorite thing was the Nickel Cinema, which is a little pop-up kind of cinema club microcinema that started in London. A lot of his program, he said, Dominic, when I went there, has been based on some of the stuff we've talked about on the show over the years. So I had a great time watching Chuck Turner there. For the first time, by the way. Yeah, first time. I was doing the intro and watching it for the first time. Baller. Baller move. I spent all my time talking about Brian, basically. How much Brian liked that movie. They definitely asked the wrong guy to come in intro. But Dom's really cool, and it's cool to see these new cinemas and new popping up all over the place. It's just, I think it's a good sign. Yeah, very exciting. Very exciting. Well, we got a full month of movies ahead in August at the new Beverly, and I'm excited for us all to talk about them. We're going to, over the course of the month, we're going to be paying tribute to, you know, Michael Madsen, who we, who recently passed away. I encourage everyone to go back and listen to the incredible, perhaps, all-time greatest pure cinema episode where you had Jules McLean for the new Bev and Michael Madsen on to talk about his

life and career absolutely essential listening one of our favorite about Nolte story oh yeah

McNulty his Pacino imitation is incredible there's so much great stuff there he's he really

went deep and and gets a little emotional even. It was just an incredible.

What a man.

What a guy.

We loved having him.

Anyway.

But yeah, so beyond that, we're also going to be showcasing a series of new Hollywood

classics.

We got animation from Studio Ghibli and Walt Disney.

We've got an exhilarating pair of modern Western updates,

a brand new print of a Norm MacDonald comedy fave, a rarity starring Aquanetta,

plus a whole host of Midnight's matinees and much, much more, all in Glorious 35.

And we're going to kick it off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with

Donnie Brascoe from 1997, directed by Mike Newell.

And this is, you know, starring Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Michael Madsen, and a host of some of my

favorite character actors.
