Hello and welcome to the Wednesday June 19th

2019 edition of Tesla Daily on official Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maower today we were talking about the well. Tesla stock on the day today was up 0.75% to $226.43. This compared to the NASDAQ up

0.42%. The Federal Reserve's June meeting was today and things went largely as expected. Interest rates were held

steady, however the commentary coming out of the meeting was more suggestive of a

possible decrease in interest rates, perhaps happening a little bit sooner than previous commentary suggested.

In a press conference, Chairman Jerome Powell said that many Fed officials, quote,

now see that the case for somewhat more accommodative policy has strengthened, end quote, amidst greater trade

uncertainty. The next Federal Reserve meeting should be around a July 30th

and they expect to have a lot more information on how the economic situation is

developing at that point in time.

It kind of seems to be setting up the expectation for a small decrease in interest rates

around then.

Obviously speculation, but that's kind of my read on the situation.

Getting into Tesla specific news then we have a couple updates from Elon on Twitter.

This afternoon he tweeted, quote, starting next month,

Tesla will charge $1,000 for color black, same price as silver."

So a little bit confusing without the next piece of information which she shared in a reply

to someone questioning what that

they would be adding a simple white, meaning a non-pearl white

as the base option.

Pretty interesting move here.
