Trail Render Nation gear review focuses today on the new balance, Minimus. High res fit the Phantom. That was pretty close, Don. This is the Minimus High res. Do we tell him how many times that took us? No, because we don't edit. The first thing you will notice when you grab this thing, it is super, super light. This thing only weighs 3.7 ounces. I tell you what, I don't know what 3.7 ounces feels like, but if this is it, it's not much. And if you also look, it's also very, very flexible. You can roll this thing up. I'm just trying it right now. I probably rolled this thing up in like four, I could put it in my back pocket. You could. You could. And it lives up to its name. It is a minima shoe. If this is something you probably don't want to wear on a very technical trail with lots of roots and rocks. But it does have a place. Probably on a smooth trail, a very groomed trail, a fire road that doesn't have a lot of rocks. And it allows you to have really great feel. So if you're looking for a shoe that's trying to get into a minimal shoe or to feel the road. Or just some gate correction, right? Just so that you have some protection to your foot. Sometimes in the heat, your road gets, road can get mighty hot. This is darn near barefoot with a little protection. Now there are a couple things that I would like to see improved on it. One is if you look at that toe box, the toe box is fairly narrow. I have come accustomed to having, I like to have a lot of room in my toe box and this does not have that. So it would be nicer to have a little bit more room in the toe box. And the other thing that's kind of a little tough to swallow is it's a pricey shoe. The suggested retail for this is $145.
