Well, hi there again everybody. Welcome to the latest edition of the Gary Neville podcast.

We're speaking to you from the London Stadium on the night where West Ham virtually Gary have guaranteed another season in the Premier League.

Yeah, and those bubbles are blowing out of those machines with no one in the stadium, but those West Ham fans at home will know.

And there was just an image at the game that at the end of the game where Mark Noble rocked back and both fists went in the air and I think he knew that was the moment that West Ham secured their Premier League status this season and I came here or two or three weeks ago now before a Chelsea game now really feared for West Ham because they were playing so poorly I didn't think they treated lockdown that well and they were coming out of it in a bad way as well.

But that night was a little bit of a turning point.

They played so well against Frank Lampard's men

who were in such a good run at that time.

And tonight they've dominated Watford in a real pressure game.

I said during the game that I've never experienced this before

and I can't imagine what these players were thinking before the game.

Were you surprised how poor Watford were, how flat they were for a match of such importance

and only got going when they were 3-0 down?

Yes.

I mean, I thought that both teams would, I thought it would be a scabby game actually.

I thought that it would be a pressure game where so much at stake that we wouldn't see good quality football

and we wouldn't see one team sort of fold and the other team sort of dominate. I was really

disappointed with Watford's defending, particularly the two fullbacks. In fact, the back five in the

first half were really poor. I think Ben Foster played with Ben. He's a England goalkeeper.

I've been a top goalkeeper for many, many years,

but I think not sure what happened on the Declan Rice one.

We didn't have a definitive angle,

which demonstrated why what happened happened.
