The restart of the Premier League means a restart of the Gary Neville podcast.

We're talking a little bit further apart than we probably have been in the past.

I hope we're on the same page in terms of our football chat.

Gary, we know it's not quite what it was, but how is your assessment?

We've done three games together.

You've watched plenty of other ones as well.

What do you think?

Yeah, my assessment is that it's a combination of the fans not being in the stadium to drive the players forward and you would maybe argue if you were at home.

Well, why would they need the player, you know, why would the players need that? But we see the importance of the fans, the adrenaline,

the feeling of going out into a packed stadium is something that can't be replaced.

And then obviously the fitness elements where players are just taking those easy options

of just dropping back into a passive shape rather than what would be when they give the ball away,

go and trying to win it back.

We understand that obviously we're watching the Premier League,

that it relies upon that sort of ebb and flow and that back to front, that yo-yo type feeling.

We're not getting yo-yo games.

There's a little bit in the second half in the Spurs,

Manchester United game the other night where it was end to end.

But more often than not, we're seeing games,

which are with teams behind the ball in good shape, difficult to break down.

And we've seen very few goals in the first half.
