When is the last time you had the joy of watching a toddler learn how to walk?

And they stumble, they stagger, they fall over, they bong their head.

All kinds of things happen.

How would you like in your spiritual life to never, ever fall again? Oh my goodness, we're going to be looking at

that today in 2nd Peter chapter 1 verse number 10. So get out your Bibles. We're going to be digging in

just a moment. Before we do, though, I want to thank those who are listening in countries all

around the world. We have people listening, of course, in the United States. That's where I published from. But I'm looking at my

statistics here. We have people listing in Zimbabwe, people in Namibia, in Hong Kong, in Mexico,

in Jamaica, just all around the world. In the Republic of Korea, friends, thank you so much for listening

to the morning mindset and thank you for sharing the morning mindset. Okay, before we dig into our passage

today in 2nd Peter chapter 1, I'm going to ask you to pray with me because we need and actually

want God to be our teacher today.

So Lord God, though, I'm the one who's opening my mouth to teach. It is your word I'm teaching.

So let us remember that. Let us honor that fact. And let us take it seriously as a result. So guide me,

Lord, as I teach and help us as we hear your word to apply it

rightly and truthfully. It's in your name we pray. Amen. Okay, 2. Peter 110 says this. Therefore,

brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election.

For if you practice these qualities, you will never fall.

All right, now we've got a little bit of context work to do here before we can really understand

what Peter's getting at, because it sounds kind of understandable at first.

He's saying confirm your calling in your election.

So work to be certain and confident about the fact that you've been called into God's family.
