All right.

Hey, we've missed you guys. I hope they had a great Christmas break. Happy 2020.

We are so excited about what God wants to do this semester. I want to start just by simply asking you a question. I want you to

think when was the time in your life where you were closest to Jesus Christ?

Just think about that. Is there a time in your life? Is there a particular season or a particular place or an event in your life that you can look back and just say, yeah, that was the time in my life where I would say hands down without a doubt I was by far the

closest with Jesus that I've ever been. Like for me I think back any time I think

about when was I closest to Jesus my mind automatically goes back to two years

after college when I was in Israel for about three and a half weeks because my life was just

at a low point.

So I went over to Israel to stay with some family.

And while I was there, it really felt like it was just God and me.

And so at night I would just open up the word of God and I would pour myself over the word of God

soaking it in and I'd pull out a journal and just journal all the things that God was speaking

to me through his word and I'd pour out my heart into this journal, not a diary,

but a journal, and then I'd go to sleep and I'd wake up far too early because Jet lag was just

dominating me and as I lay there in my bed far too early in the morning

I would just converse with God and he'd speak to me and I'd speak back to him and I'd hop on

the computer and I would email friends back home in Texas
