Hello everyone and welcome to police off the cuff, real crime stories.

I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

We're covering a very interesting case tonight. And it's sort of a really tragic case, the loss of life of just a neurosurgeon.

Up on the screen, you could see the flyer there.

Dr. Devin Hoover, seven months ago in this palatial estate that you see up on the screen here,

13,000 square foot mansion in the state of Michigan, Detroit, Michigan.

He lived there alone, the doctor and neurosurgeon, pretty much loved by everyone.

Yet, on April 23rd, 2023, he wound up, shot twice in the back of the head in his own home,

found naked except for wearing one sock, and somehow transported from where

the crime occurred in the house up into the attic, where his body was found, covered by a

comforter and a sheet. When this first occurred, the police promised there would be a quick arrest.

However, here we are seven months later and no one is in custody.
