It's four minutes after 10. Things that you probably don't know enough about to justify a very strong

opinion about what's happening in the Middle East at the moment. A list. And by the Middle East,

I mean specifically between Israel and Lebanon and obviously more broadly the entire

escalating and escalated conflict.

So we'd probably start off with the status of the Druze people in the Golan Heights,

12 of whose children were killed by a missile which Israel insist was fired by Hezbollah.

Hezbollah, I continue to deny it, but I think objectively, it's probably Israel that are

right on this occasion, but you can stick that on the list of things you don't know for

sure or things you don't know enough about.

And it was in response to that attack upon the Jews' children, a community that identifies

as Arab and has its roots in

Islam, in the Ismaili branch of Islam, which for some reasons I happen to know is the one of

which the Aga Khan is the sort of de facto head. And so that escalation, that return of missiles,

which Hezbollah have been firing into Israel,

in solidarity with Hamas since October the 8th of last year,

now seems set to be escalating into war.

So, I mean, things you don't know enough about.

The fact that Lebanon has its own

army that is currently being trained by British troops, we are training the Lebanese army,

which is essentially an enemy of Hezbollah, which is much better equipped and much more

experienced, not least because Hezbollah fighters have been fighting

on the side of Assad in Syria. So there's another problem for people who are persuaded that they
