Net Zero is the acclaimed series in which youth leaders from the Protect Our Planet movement in association with Planet Classroom track the progress being made by international leaders to tackle the climate crisis.

Today on Planet Classroom, we are delighted to showcase Net Zero hosts, Vidsoniel, Mphadisith Makais, Barry Newyze Berry, and Phil O'Magdalene from the Net Zero video series to discuss where the world stands in the race to Net Zero.

The Norwegian government has tightened its climate goals and promises to cut emissions by 55% by 2020 compared to 1990 levels.

The government pledged to support investments that helped to phase out coal and other fossil sources of energy.

In Net Zero speaks with Kim Holman, climate activist Vidsoniel interviews, Kim Holman, the senior advisor to the Norwegian Polar Institute in Troms, Norway to explore what progress has been made.

The Arctic is changing rapidly and the melting sea ice and the warmer water has all the ecosystem.

So the sea ice is different throughout the Arctic, much thinner, and many of the species that are dependent on sea ice are struggling or even vanishing.

Hello, I'm Vidsoniel and I am from the UK and I am on Planet Classroom.

When I first heard about Kim Holman, I think it was his work that inspired me the most.

I have always wanted to be an environmental scientist and the opportunity to meet someone who is living this stream excited me.

I think what surprised me the most was how natural the interview was.

It reminded me that climate change is a global issue that unites people and unity is key in saving our future from the impacts of climate change.

There are still things to do. We have passed the point of written over return and in some ways we are a negative narrative.

There is future for us if we join forces and work hard.
