nationally and internationally towards environmental conservation.

Net Zero is the acclaimed series in which youth leaders from environmental conservation the progress being made by international leaders to tackle the climate crisis.

Imagine a world where petrochemicals and non-sustainable materials are replaced by eco-friendly

products derived from trees and other biomaterials.

This vision is becoming a reality through the pioneering work of Dr. Florian Grykin, a senior executive

at Sion, New Zealand's leading crown research institute.

Dr Grykin joined Net Zero's Drishia Pothak to discuss this transformative journey.

People quite often or people know that quote that pretty much every product you can make today from

petrochemicals you can make from a tree tomorrow and I think that is true and it's not only a tree it's it's all other

biomass as well. This is Dr. Parthak and I am on planet classroom.

bioproduct and bio manufacturing areas directs portfolios in high-value biorefineries, circular manufacturing and sustainable solutions.

His commitment to sustainability is what inspired me to interview him. I was most surprised by Florian's

innovative and forward-thinking strategies at science to move away from petrochemicals.
