For this week's clinical file, we have Roger, and Roger presents with Mark swelling at the medial elbow after hours of resting

his arm down on a flat surface. The patient complains of diminished sensation along the medial

aspect of his right hand. Which of the following

activities is likely the most difficult for the patient to perform? So we have A, writing with a fine

tip pen. B, carrying a bucket using a two finger hook grasp. C, swiping a credit card, and D is painting

on a small canvas using light brush strokes. All right, so let's go up to the top of this one.

I was actually just speaking to the live people that are here with me going through this question,

and we were talking about how it's so important for you to understand the different nerves

that innervate the upper extremities, but not just the nerves.

You got to know the muscles that are innervated by those nerves and the functions that may be impaired if you have a nerve palsy.

And understanding that allows you to crush, absolutely dominate questions just like this one.
