Hello everybody this is howl hearing back country hunters and anglers podcast and blasts

I'm wanted to record an introduction today's podcast I'm with Nephi Cole at

rendezvous actually down in Missoula. Oh, that's where we recorded it.

And I am we're going to talk about guns in America and I realize that this is a thoroughly contentious topic and that's okay.

This is an open discussion at Nephi. I've known him for a long time. I was anxious to talk with him about this and this is an

open discussion. It's not a attack interview or gotcha or it's not it's not an argument.

And so that said there's gonna be aspects of stuff that probably I say and

definitely Nephi says that ain't gonna agree with everybody.

Everybody's not going to love everything,

singing the Kumbaya, but that's okay. This is a complex topic that we're on.

It's got a thousand nuances, most of which if we got bandwidth in our

heads we should probably be thinking about.

So I'm hoping that the readers can approach this with an open mind, critical ear, and benefit from the information in it, benefit from the conversation.

All of that said, I really want to emphasize how much I appreciate Nephiai Cole and the National Shooting Sports Foundation coming here to sit down and have this conversation in the first place.

I'm grateful to all of them for that and I hope this is of some interest and

benefit to folks. Thanks everybody for being here.

So when you talk about like we talk about PR dollars, I know ultimately yeah we pass it on to the consumers,

but if you want to know who's the strokes of the check, we do. We stroke that check.

You said it before, these issues when they get politicized

it becomes about symbolism. It doesn't become about numbers. It doesn't become

about what you know really happens. It becomes political economy is what I call it

which is you know you're trying to use
