Sherell McMillan has joined me, and we're going to talk about the first big landing

for new coach, Michael Malone at North Carolina.

Let's get into it. All right. Thanks to everybody who joined us last night on Sunday, live for the coast to coast.

We kind of felt like this was trending and could have even happened before now,

but we're bringing it to you as just a few

moments ago, it was announced by Inside Carolina that New Euclis Abdalas from Virginia Tech is committed to

Michael Malone and the Tar Heels. He came from Greece. I think he's 21. Sherell, I'll let you get into that in a second ago,

in a second, but came from Greece, 6-7, about 190-pound combo guard, big kid, very highly rated amongst his position in the transfer portal.

I think this is a big get for North Carolina.

I know that he kind of had some hot and cold flashes as the season went on last year, but has shown that he is

incredibly capable, specifically from ball handling. And he shot fairly well. I think he was

not great from the free throw line, but shot 32%-ish from three, average 12 points, just under

five assists a game, three rebounds, playing about

30 minutes per game for the Hokies in Virginia Tech, and only shot about 45% from two.

But Sherell, this feels like the first, I guess, hand tip by Michael Malone as to what he thinks

the roster should look like as

Abdalas is going to be playing in Chapel Hill next season.
