The Nena Cherry became an international superstar in 1988 when she dropped her

unforgettable Pop Mega smash buffalo stands.

And I have been wanting to talk to her about that song

ever since then, finally got the chance.

And so we went in the studio one afternoon,

we cut the original number one version of Buffalo Stants.

In a day.

Yeah, yeah, in an afternoon.

So we'd written it.

I wrote, I think, who's that Gogolow on the street with his hands and his puckas in his

his puckadou feet hanging off the curve?

I did that walking to the supermarket. I was just like

didily diddling it in my head. Then we went back then, yeah, we, myself and Jamie, who was in

Morgan Bay with Cameron, came up with the chorus and we put it together.

So we went and did this little B-side thing, which we then went and when their single came out we performed it in like doing p a's in some clubs and pretty weird clubs but you know as a little thing and then that was it buffalo stance done

didn't really think about it anymore and then Tim Simmonon

who had bombed the bass, heard it somewhere.

Someone played it to him.

And he was like, this chain needs to be recut.

Like, I really like this.

So he through my friend Jamie Morgan

got in touch and I kind of knew him from out and around in London.
