You're about to watch an interview that I did with Neil Leifer,

who I consider to be one of the greatest sports photographers of all time,

and somebody that I've looked up to since I started shooting sports as a young photographer.

Now, it's been over a decade since I've wanted to sit down and talk to Neil.

Well, I finally got the chance to do that.

And here is the interview, so I hope you enjoy it.

I called you when I was 21 years old or so.

I just went to your website, found your number, and gave you a call.

You talked to me.

You offered to look at some of my photos

and give me some feedback. And I wasn't looking for anything back then, which was good because

you're like, I don't know if I can give you any help. Because it was, you know how difficult

it is as a sports photographer trying to find your way today. And even back then, it was a little

more difficult. But I always looked up to your work,

even when I started as a 13-year-old. So first, I wanted to start off with that, that I respect

the hell out of everything you've done and what you've captured is some of the best stuff I've

ever seen. Well, thank you. I remember the phone call. Oh, yeah. You don't forget those.

They're kind of important because I remember when I was 13, 14.

That's exactly when I started.

I called a couple of my heroes at the time.

And you don't forget the ones who were nice and took the time to talk to you.
