This is episode number 103, where I sit down sometime during the day to share what's on my mind with you,

and you get to share what's on your mind with me. Today I want to talk about an issue

that is a non-issue actually. When I get emails from people who say my brand new camera

doesn't take as good of quality images as my old camera because I'm zooming in on the images in Lightroom and even

at low ISOs I see a lot of noise because this happened yesterday. I got an email from somebody

and they said that they have an A7-3 from Sony and they switched over from the Canon and that

the Canon files that I believe 1600 looked better than the

sony files did and he thinks there's something wrong and when i emailed back to ask for more

information and to ask for the images i i was going to write i guarantee you that it's you and not the

camera but instead i just told stephen that that it's you and not the camera, but instead I just told Stephen that.

But it's almost 100% factual that every time I get one of these emails, it's always the person.

It's never the camera.

It's always some kind of issue with the wrong settings, with the wrong exposure, with bad processing.

So I asked a person to upload them to Dropbox.

And this morning, well, last night they dropped boxed when I went to bed.

And I got an email reminding me that they put them up,

and then I got an email back saying that they, yeah, they made a mistake.

They made a mistake, and for some reason the ISO was at 8,000, and 10,000, and 16,000, not 1,600. And that would explain why the images didn't look so good,

or why they looked like they had more noise. But to be honest with you, looking at the files at 10,000 and 8,000 ISO,
