We're two ministers slash buds who love telling them the stories of the Bible

Again we are in the book of Nehemiah. That's the Old Testament and we're traveling

through this really great book. Matt, let's talk a little Nihai.

This one is interesting,

because we've been looking at threats from the outside for Nehemiah.

If this is your first time on the wall with us in Jerusalem,

where we've come is Nehemiah had felt a calling to go rebuild the walls as a defense for the city of Jerusalem, which was really open to threats at this time.

The people have been exiled out, but now King

Artesercsi's, you know, through no question God's intervention, had allowed Nehemiah to come back and to rebuild these walls and to help his people.

And Nehemiah faced some opposition primarily from a couple of guys, Sam ballot and Tobias, who do not want Israel to become powerful again, right?

So last we talked, Nehem I had heard plans that Sam Ballot and Tobias had moved from emotion to action and were gathering allies to secretly attack Jerusalem.

So Nehemiah had families gather together.
