Summary
This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, a week to spread awareness, hope and resources for and about eating disorders. Most people who learn that eating disorders are the second deadliest mental health disorder are surprised, so the reason there has been so much uproar in the last couple of years about diet culture and the harm it causes goes wildly misunderstood. In honor of NEDA week, Kat explores and describes the polarizing experience happening now between diet culture and the more recent anti diet culture movement. And because this week is about hope- she talks about a position on this spectrum that might be more helpful than the options it feels like people have today.
