We're here at the Evangelical Theological Theological Society meetings, which is a great conglomeration of all these

world-class biblical, theological, and philosophical scholars, and I get the chance to cherry-pick

among my favorites who I want to interview.

So we are here today with one of my favorite folks, Dr. Gary Habermas, who has a long history

with Talbot's Philosophy program. I think we'll the way we'll put it is you

mentored our colleague J.P. Moreland for many years.

I think so. Although he might he might say it's just he might say it's just he might dispute that he made around yeah but I first met him he hadn't finished his PhD yet so he was

he was your junior college he was because he came to liberty for a little

one yes so Gary is a prolific author he has spoken all over the world on topics related to apologetics and

philosophy but he's a specialist known worldwide I think for two primary

areas that on the resurrection of Jesus and on the phenomena of near death experiences.

So I'd like to, Gary, I like to start with that.

First of all, welcome and thanks for, thanks for joining us on this.

So tell what exactly is meant by the term a near death experience?

Well, actually, near death has different definitions, but it's usually said it's a state from which you can reasonably

be thought to die if there's not a median intervention. But because definitions of death come in different flavors, you know,

CPR says we don't feel any heartbeat yet but no machines.

And of course there could be more advanced things no EKG no E. G. And then kind of my favorite is the one of the
