I was just a normal kid. You know, I like to watch dark shadows and see a good ghost story, but the paranormal was the last thing on my mind.

The first thing that really happened to me, I have to say, is when I was 12 years old, it was five days before my 13th birthday.

I went out to a stable and got on a horse unsupervised.

I mean, the horse took off with me and went to the highway and it was going so fast, it was like ice.

I just shot out of my body. I saw myself on the horse. I saw the dried pine needles on the trees.
