I just love it when people say things, especially when they get you to think about what it is that they're saying and make you go, hmm, there aren't

many people saying that. That's unusual or that's different. I've always said I am basically

in this business in love with people in sports or news or politics or whatever with people

who actually say something because most people don't say anything. They give you the standard line,

the old cliche, the coach speak, if you will. But I present to you Royce White, who played

college basketball at Iowa State in 2011 and 2012. He's an interesting dude. You may remember him.

He was a terrific player. He got drafted in the first round of the NBA, 16th pick overall by the rockets,

as I recall. But it didn't work out for him in the NBA. Royce White, as I mentioned, is

an interesting dude. He had a fear of flying as much as anything else. And so it just didn't

work out for him in the NBA. He had the largest hands in the draft. He was just a terrific

player on a lot of fronts.

And while he had some trouble while he was in college and grew up in the, I don't know,

the streets, the hood, if you will, or that's what he says in Minneapolis. He had gone to

Minnesota to play college basketball. He got in a little trouble there. He went to the Mall of

America one time and ripped off $100 worth of stuff and got caught.

And he had some petty things like that.

And he got bounced off the Minnesota basketball team.

He winds up at Iowa State where he is just tough as nails, was just a great player in college

basketball.

He has since kind of failing in the NBA, played in some minor basketball

leagues to pick up some bucks. He has become an MMA fighter, but not very good. He's 6'8 and
