Okay, so reality sets in and the Chiefs are not the best team in the AFC right now.

But it's important to remember that it's October.

And last October in 2021, the Chiefs played at home on October 10th against the Buffalo

Bills and lost 3820 in a beatdown. This game was far different from that. And this Chiefs

team is far different than a year ago. How, you may ask? Well, the defense looks better. I think

everybody would agree with that. Tyree Kill is missing, sure, but the Chiefs have gone younger, much younger, all over the field. And they have new parts all over the field. That it's reasonable to believe come December and January, the Chiefs, if they stay healthy enough, Mahomes is upright, not aching, not knocked out, not whatever.

It's reasonable believe that the Chiefs have much more room to grow and can get a lot better

than the Buffalo Bills can in season.

The Bills look more like a finished product.

They're now an older football team.

They have remaining parts from a team that's been very good for a couple of years,

but just couldn't quite get past the Kansas City Chiefs. It's also important to remember that

the Chiefs played at Arrowhead in the AFC championship game last year against the Cincinnati Bengals,

not the Buffalo Bills. Look, the NFL, it's an incredible cliche that it's a marathon, not a sprint, but it's

absolutely true. The way Josh Allen runs around, as many times as he gets hit as all the

things that happen to him over the course of a game that we watch over and over and over,

leaping over Reed and plays like that that we see from Josh Allen, it's impossible to think that

he won't be more dinged up than Patrick Mahomes come playoff time. We can all sit back and watch

and see how it all plays out, and it was terrible that the Chiefs lost. There is no reason for despair.
