Welcome on to a Sunday night awards edition of Dunkton. It's been two months since we last

checked in on this because beginning of February is around the trade deadline. So we're going to

do one more of these. And then, of course, we'll have our final awards and a little more than

a month's time. So we're going to talk MVP. We're going to talk all NBA. We'll even point out

maybe some circumstances where if guys weren't subject to the 65 game rule,

they might have made our teams, which I think is always interesting to discuss.

Coach of the Year, defense player of the year, six man of the year, rookie of the year,

and a few of our own as well.

We'll see how far we get into it in tonight's program, but I guess we can start with

the MVP, Danny, where thankfully everyone of import is still eligible. Some are hanging on by a

thread at this point. And so that leads us to, you get to a little bit of the uncomfortability,

but thankfully we don't have as much of it, I would say in terms of this, in terms of the, so to me, the three best

players in the league so far this year, worth noting Yonis Santé de Kumpo is all the way ineligible.

So even if he were in the, you know, he's only played 30 games this year. To me, the three best players in the league so far this year have been Sheigoldus Alexander, Nikoliyokic, and Victor von Mniama. I would say in any order, but for me, it is that order. All of them have missed significant time already. Shea's at 50, you know, like, so they've all missed significant time. they've all played less than some of their other brethren,

players. at 50 you know like they did so they've all missed significant time they've all played less than

some of their other brother like very good players players that i will have on all mba teams and so

you do have a little bit of that reconciliation of is it more important to play better or to play more

there's a little bit of that but i didn't see that as being as big a story in this as

it can be certain other times. And we'll see where things are at the end of the year. Hopefully

these guys all play it. Yeah, hopefully that's the case, but we'll play it as it lies for right now.
