Three minutes after ten is the time. A very good morning to you. Just keep an eye on me,

will you, this week? Whenever there's a bank holiday, I always lose the Monday.

So part of me thinks today is Monday.

So if I manage to get the actual day wrong, it's bad enough getting the time wrong occasionally.

If I manage to get the actual day wrong, then please do blow your whistle.

Maybe it's because I've had an extra day off.

But sometimes you manage to find a little bit more space, distance from the unfolding national situation than you do when we get together five days a week, almost 52 weeks a year under current terms and conditions.

But I felt this weekend I got a little bit further away from the fray.

And yesterday's figures showing that only one person had died,

added to that sense of us being halfway down the other side of the mountain.

And I don't want to sound complacent or anything like that.

One worries, of course, about the number of people who are still talking twaddle. Forgive me.

I'm sure we can be friends again one day. But for now, I find your position repellent. People talking

twaddle about vaccines and lockdowns and what have you.

I came up with one of my infernal analogies for people who want to rush towards

leaving lockdown because the numbers are finally looking good.

And I know that's a relative term.

And I know that you know that.

So let's neither of us pretend otherwise.

It's a lifeboat. The lockdown is a lifeboat, right? The shore is herd immunity. And the pandemic is the

ship that we were all on. So the ship sank, as in coronavirus hit.
