okay i've called a couple times and you've given me some advice. I have a stepson that I've spent 95% of the time raising and he got married 15 years ago to a lady and they have three grandkids.

They live 10 minutes away.

And historically, whenever she and I are around each other,

I experienced that she likes to control her environment.

And most people do want to control their environment.

So you want to tell me what terrible thing is happening?

She will, it's kind of a, I feel like I'm being treated unkindly and what she will do is make a comment that is mean or rude and I feel that I don't have respect from her.

Can you give me some examples of what you feel is mean and rude?

Okay. We were making, I brought up dough and we were making Christmas cookies with the kids.

And I had let her know that I wanted to be able to take some of them and share them with my friends.

So we were making the cookies and the kids were piling on the frosting.

They were being kids. They were having a great time.

And so I took some of the cookies and I set them aside.

And she went, well, they're just being kids and they're putting frosting on the cookies.

I said, I understand that.

And I'd like to take some to my friends.

And she again commented, well, you know, they need to do what they do.

And I'm like, okay, I understand this.
