0:34.3	If you're 70 and you lose a parent, you kind of accept it differently.
0:40.8	But when you lose a parent when you're a minor or say in your 20s or maybe early 30s,
0:47.6	and you liked the parent, it's devastating.
0:54.1	And there isn't okay, I'm going to grieve for one week one month one year and then i'll be good
1:00.1	no it's one of those things that's just going to be there and when you're young and you go through
1:07.6	major times in life your prom your graduation uh getting, getting married, whatever, having a kid,
1:12.5	and that parent is not there to share it with you, every time that happens, it's going to be a little
1:16.8	a little jiggle in your heart. Because the grief doesn't hit you all at once. I mean, you'll
1:25.4	be doing something totally neutral, having a good time not thinking at all about anything in particular, and suddenly you'll see something that reminds you of them.
1:39.3	Pain wells up. You do have to admit that it reminds you to appreciate decent family.
1:50.4	Decent.
1:51.2	Not everybody has decent family.
1:52.9	It's because people are genetically related.
1:54.4	Doesn't mean they're nice, decent, whatever.
1:58.7	And one not too unusual call is
2:01.8	I don't know what to say to a friend whose parent has died
2:05.0	well there's nothing you can say to make it all better
