| 0:47.9 | You were into the outdoors before this, but then you had an injury. |
| 0:51.9 | And on October 18th in 2018 I was coming home from work and the road that I was on |
| 1:02.0 | it's a very busy one, big bend in South County, St. Louis. |
| 1:06.8 | I went head on into a left-hand turn into another driver. |
| 1:11.7 | The seatbelt came undone and I hit the windshield at 50 miles per hour. |
| 1:16.0 | I crushed the vertebrae and discs and everything in my neck. |
| 1:22.0 | I had a split open head, boxer breaks, hairline fractures |
| 1:30.5 | throughout my back. It was just, you know, I had surgery. I really don't |
| 1:34.4 | remember a good six months of it. But my husband kept telling me throughout at all, you know, you can get better and you can go hiking again. |
| 1:47.0 | Because everything in my life evolved around those pictures and those moments with my children at the bottom of waterfalls or at the top of a mountain and |
| 1:59.4 | I didn't see life as being even worth it if I couldn't be out there and I couldn't enjoy everything |
| 2:08.7 | that Missouri had to offer and all of these memories. |
