Hi, welcome to Effortless English.

In today's podcast, I present a short piece of a conversation

with Nathaniel.

Nathaniel is a teaching assistant at my school in San Francisco

and this summer Nathaniel went to Japan.

He lived in Japan for the summer, three months, and he taught English at a small English school outside, I think it was near Mount Fuji actually.

So I recorded a conversation with him

about his experiences in Japan.

In this part of the conversation he talks about an annoying Japanese teacher that would come to his class and interrupt it and he and I discuss what happened and our opinions about it. Okay, here's the conversation.

We had one really annoying guy who would actually interject into class. You could be talking and

they would say something and maybe we had a class of six or seven and he would start correcting their English while we're teaching.

Oh really? Who was this guy?

He was the chaperone teacher.

Oh, uh, uh, And he was pretty fluent. So what's a chaperone teacher

exactly? So it's from a school. So he's a teacher of theirs from the normal school.

Yeah, they come from a high school name.

And this is like a class field trip for three days.

And this guy was Japanese, I it he was Japanese and he's correcting

their English he's correcting their English while they're in class your class my class and

other people's classes because I sat in with some of the other classes.

Oh, it's terrible.
