with another episode of Politico's off message podcast.

I'd like to apologize.

We skipped a week.

The truth of the matter is I was doing my day job guys,

which is writing and reporting a

magazine story. So you know what? If you didn't like it, well, I won't tell you where to go.

Well, speaking of where I'm going to go. So Politico, as you know, covers the conventions.

We will cover the Republicans in Cleveland in a couple of weeks and then the Democrats in Philadelphia.

Let's just put it this way.

Our hotel in Philadelphia will be a hell of a lot closer to the convention site than it

will be in Cleveland.

And here's why.

The Republican National Committee, I am told, controls where various media organizations are lodged.

And I think it speaks to our standing in the Republican media cosmology, in our coverage of Donald Trump in particular, that Politico is going to be spending the night in a scenic downtown Akron, Ohio,

which is 60 miles, count of 6.0 miles from Cleveland.

So I just decided before we turned on the on switch today to look at some of the things

that we might do in Akron.

Now, I'm told the Black Keys come from Akron.

I got nothing against Akron. I've spent time in it. But here's some of the things that we might do in Akron. Now, I'm told the Black Keys come from Akron. I got nothing against Akron.
