I'm Rick Beasley, Nashville Communications Officer, retired with 40 years of experience.

And I'm Brandon Hall with 20.

Before we begin our show, this episode will be dedicated to and in remembrance of a beautiful person whom we lost to cancer on March 1st.

Retired Nashville Communications Officer, Patty Davis.

If you guys remember, Brandon talked about some comical stuff involving him and her near the end of episode two.

If you don't remember, please make it a point to go back and listen.

Some years back, her husband Leo passed away quietly during a cruise they were on together.

It was obvious to me and to anyone that knew them that they were true soulmates, having been together 50 years. She had said she missed him

terribly. Patty is the poster lady for one who truly lived life to the fullest. In retirement, she really did

make it her reward for all the year she had worked, took more cruises that most people would

have taken in several lifetimes. When she departed this life, there's no doubt to me that she was reunited again

with the one that she had missed so badly. And I'm sure that Leo had already tracked down Elvis

so he could meet one of his biggest fans. What a sight that had to be.

We thank you, Patty, for all that you gave us.

And we thank you, too, for your service to the citizens of Nashville and keeping all of us safe.

We love you, and we miss you.
