We're motorsports writers for The Athletic.

And today we're here to talk about the dawn of the upcoming NASCAR season.

We are just getting so close.

And in fact, our next podcast will be a post-race episode already.

The Clash coming up this weekend.

Going out to L.A. for that.

Very, very excited.

Obviously, we've talked a lot of Clash recently.

So we're not going to necessarily preview the Clash.

But, Jordan, I thought it'd be

cool to talk about the season overall. One of my new sort of favorite podcasts is the one with,

it's called Speed Street. It's an IndyCar-based podcast with Joey Molinaro and Connor Daly.

And on their recent episode uh they talked they went

through all the indy car teams sort of team by team talked about who drive what drivers are there

who's moved uh from team to team what their lineup is and you know i'm not somebody that's like

super super hardcore indy car i mean i kind of like know enough about it to cover it.

But some of the moves, you know, I was like from some of the smaller teams, I'm like,

oh, is that that that's so okay.

And they, you know, they gave their perspective on who will be good this year.

So I thought, let's do that for NASCAR. Let's do a NASCAR version of that in our sort of final pre-season
