and out of safe mode. Bob, a very good evening to remind what safe mode means.

What happens with Hubble and this happens with all spacecrafts.

It's a computer, detect something that isn't quite right.

Rather than continue to do science operations, if go wrong could destroy this spacecraft

the computer puts it into a typical safe mode which means just protects it, keeps it operating,

sends back a notice there's a problem and nothing is held in

safety position while engineers will look at the situation try to figure

what's wrong. Hubble went at the situation and try to figure it what's wrong.

Hubble went at the safe mode on April 23rd because one of the gyros was giving out readings

that were faulty and so it only has three gyros left. It loses one more. It will no longer be able to

take sharp images though and he'll be able to collect data. And so they watch

those gyros very very carefully and that same gyro had gone out in November I think and so it had the same issue

so they put it into safe mode but earlier this week a week later the engineers announced that they
