Summary

Who is telling your story? Who are they telling it to? Why are they telling it? This is the Narrative Device! The Narrative Device consists of three main components: - Author: The Author is someone who is capable of telling the POP premise as a story to shed light on the problem another person has. - SAM: The Single Audience Member is a person with a problem related to the one the protagonist faces in the POP premise. - Problem: A specific problem that the POP premise can shed light on. What Shawn, Danielle, and Leslie are trying to teach Tim this week is how this affects every single word of his writing. 0:37.4

to keep doing? And if so,

0:39.4

how can we make it work for everybody that's involved? And I think what you'll see in this

0:45.1

week is that the new structure we're bringing to it is a lot more helpful. It was a lot more

0:50.5

helpful for me. I think it was a lot more helpful for the three of them as well.

0:55.5

And of course, we're using these red, blue, and green levels of being able to start at one level

1:02.6

and work our way through to see what's working and not working in the story.

1:08.0

And as you'll see, I have a lot of really clear insights on what's happening in my scene,

1:14.5

what should be happening in my scene. And I think set me up to start making some real progress

1:20.2

to actually get this scene working in the way that we wanted to work. And so it was a really great

1:26.5

episode. I think you're going to enjoy it.

1:28.9

Before we jump in, I just want to mention one more time
