So thank you again for agreeing to share your story with me.

I am familiar with your story and I think this is going to be an incredibly powerful interview

because your experience covers some topics that all of us worry about.

So before I get ahead of myself, why don't we start at the beginning, the question that

I always like to ask, which is, how did you meet your husband and when did you first start

to suspect there might be an issue?

So I met my husband.

I was actually just recently divorced and I had three jobs at the time and one of them

was waiting tables and I was his waitress.

And so that's how I met him.

And he had a son that was 16 months old and so instantly just my personality, I fell

in love with both of them and as far as noticing a problem, probably a couple of months after

we got married.

There wasn't a whole lot of drinking going on but I just noticed that when we were around

people that were drinking, he would definitely partake quite a bit and that became a flag

for me.

So it's interesting.

When you were a waitress, I just always like imagine, so was it like breakfast or was he

not a big drinker at the restaurant you were at?

I just imagined like, no, okay, got it, no, I actually worked at a brewery, but yeah,

I was not a drinker at all, but yeah, there was no signs of any type of alcoholism early

...
