Summary

No Mormon history hotspots in South Dakota or Minnesota, but I did see the surprisingly underwhelming Mt. Rushmore and my inner Gearhead took complete control before passing a car museum.

This is the Naked Mormon History travel log cross-country style for March 24th,

0:07.9

sorry, March 23rd, 2017.

0:11.4

Today was a bit of a traveling day.

0:14.7

I spent a total of about 13 and a half hours in the car, but of course I couldn't spend a day

0:19.7

driving across the country without making

0:22.0

a couple of stops. Now, I know this is a Mormon history tour, but unfortunately across South

0:28.2

Dakota, there aren't too many Mormon history hotspots. But what I did hit was Mount Rushmore,

0:34.0

which was surprisingly anticlimatic. It's not quite as grandiose as all of the pictures

0:41.4

that I've seen of it are. However, it was still a very beautiful monument, and I'm not saying any of

1:18.5

She's just so awesome for her giving me the couch to sleep on for the night.

1:23.3

It's awful nice of her.

1:25.8

But of course, on the drive back, or on the drive to Minneapolis, my GPS estimated that I was going to be there, be here, I guess I should say, at 11 o'clock at night, which is a bit of a problem because Marie has two cute little boys and I didn't want to wake them up.

1:45.1

Little Malcolm and Oliver, she's cute little buggers.

1:49.7

But if any of you have driven across southern Wyoming, you know that there's Little America,

1:57.2

Wyoming.

1:58.3

And it's just in this crop out of the middle of nowhere.

2:03.9

There's nothing in apropos of absolutely zero civilization anywhere near it.
