Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Girls' Camp podcast. I'm your host, Haley Roll.

And if you know me, you know that there are few things I love as much as swapping mission stories.

I love sitting down and talking about the crazy wild things that happened on a Mormon

mission or on any church mission for that matter. And I have had my mission on my mind because

my most recent Patreon episode I did was a deep dive into my own

mission journals. It's been almost exactly 10 years since I got back from my mission,

which is really weird. And I feel like my body knows that. Like I just have been thinking

about my mission way more lately. So I dove back into my mission

journals and that was a very crazy experience. Head over to the Patreon if you want to hear more about it.

And then I also asked Patreon members to write in their mission stories. And I was just having a

grand old time with the mission stories. But as you know, I'm trying to

keep things a little bit less Mormon church rage inducing here at girls camp. And so I decided to do

a prompt about funny mission stories and not so much the traumatic mission stories. And I did acknowledge that oftentimes

there's quite a bit of overlap, but I think we have a really good lineup of funny, a little bit more

lighthearted mission stories to share today. I want to dedicate this episode to my dad.

If you're new around here, my dad died very suddenly,

very unexpectedly at age 54 of a heart attack. That was, why am I so bad? I'm so bad at years,

especially when it happened in December. So it was not this last December, but the December

before that.

And the reason I want to dedicate this episode to my dad is because all growing up,

my dad had the best funny mission lore that he would share with us kids.
