Hello and welcome once again to Bible Mysteries podcast Mystery Mailbag. I'm Scott Mitchell here to answer your questions once again.

Got the mailbag hat on, so we are ready to dive in with our first question, which comes to us from

Jonathan Kay. And Jonathan writes, how do the Bible Mysteries team? Allow me to share an abbreviated

testimony. I'm Jonathan Kay, a U.S. Air Force veteran living in

North Texas. He says he's praying about moving to Waco soon. I entered the military at 18.

Let me say that again. I entered the military at 18 in 2019 and served until my medical

retirement in 2024 due to injuries. I grew up with dedicated Christian parents.

However, I never fully grasped it.

During my teen years, I struggled with faith and failed to connect due to my own pride.

This got worse as I served in the military, and I drifted further down that dark, lonely road.

I have frequently experienced sleep paralysis since I was about 14 or 15 and have had

a fascination with cryptids and spiritual entities since then. This increased during my service

and especially while I was deployed to the point of having daily interactions with strange

figures and scary visions while trying to sleep. That's interesting, Jonathan.

The fact that it would increase in the military seems interesting to me.

Anyway, he continues,

This deepened my curiosity as to the cause of it,

and I wanted to figure out what it was and how I could better understand and navigate it.

I started researching SP, Spirit Realm, Transcendental Meditation, CIA Gateway Programs,

look into that if you haven't, and we have done a little of that, remote viewing and all

other things related to that. I went pretty deep, started going through my medical process,

and was very stressed and scared about my future, and my mental health got worse.
