work their way up, stay with the company, and then have the opportunity to be CEO.

Heather Bresh, now the CEO of Pharmaceutical Giant Myelin, she started over two decades ago

by literally typing labels in the factory basement, how she broke through the

old boys club and became the first woman to run a major pharmaceutical company. Her advice,

get comfortable, being uncomfortable. Plus, she's the daughter of West Virginia Senator Joe

Manchin, and she doesn't hold back when it comes to her assessment of Washington today.

Here's what I'll say about Congress. They're not very solution-oriented.

I mean, I've never seen a time in our country that was less solution-oriented.

It's too partisan. It's everyone, you know, grabbing the headline. She also weighs in on the

EpiPen controversy and defends the price hike, calling the health care system as a whole in this

country broken. Here's my conversation with Heather Bresh. Heather Bresh, thank you for being here.

Yeah, thank you for having me. It's nice to sit down with you. I've followed your career in the company for a long time, so thank you for being here. Well, thank you. You're a mom, you're the CEO of a huge pharmaceutical company. You are the first woman ever to run a big pharma company. You are listed very high up on Fortune's most powerful women's list.

And to make things interesting, you are the daughter of a sitting U.S. Senator.

What is the best word to describe you today?

Humbolded. Humbolded by all of those things.

You know, I grew up in a small town in West Virginia, and if you would have said years ago, decades ago, that

my father and I would find ourselves in the positions we are today, I would have said

not in a million years. So you know life has, life's journey has a funny way of

interconnecting and growing tree branches that you never thought were possible.

And so, you know, as I said here today and listen to the accomplishments at the top of the list being a mother,

you know, like I said, that's probably the best feeling that comes over me.
