If you have a copy of the scriptures, we're going to spend some time today in Haggai

Chapter 2.

I know, probably not in your bingo card.

Haggai chapter 2, pro tip, it's the third to the last book of the Old Testament.

So if you can find your way to Matthew and just go a few steps

to the left, you're going to be at Haggai. It's the second shortest book of the Old Testament.

The shortest being my guy Obadiah, but Haggai is the second shortest. And he is one of

what's known as three post-exylic prophets.

Say that three times fast.

He's one of three post-exilic prophets.

And if you want to just kind of think about how to frame or what category to put the

post-exilic prophets, if you take what happens in the book of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, and you

mix that. It pairs perfectly with the three post-exilic prophets because you have the prophets

who are writing during the same period covered by the historical books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and

Esther. I want to preach to you a message as we kick off a brand new collection of talks today
