I know that you know that when you go to church on Mother's Day, you're likely going to hear about motherhood.

And that doesn't apply to every single person sitting in this room.

But the four of us have been deeply connected in conversation via group text for the last couple of weeks talking about the

direction we wanted this conversation to go and I hope even if you're not in the same season we are

that you sense the same through line throughout all of it which applies to every single season because of the truth of the gospel.

So I want to start with Psalm 127, 4, and 5.

It says, like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth.

Blessed is the one whose quiver is full of them.

And I love that verse because the psalmist could have chosen any weapon for that imagery,

but he chose the arrow, the one that's raised up, held back, and then let go significantly

farther than the warrior could have gone on his own.

And the women next to me are warriors.
