Hello, hello, everybody. I hope you're doing well. This is just a little mini fluently forward episode

that I wanted to do because someone over on Patreon asked this question. They said,

I would love either a comment or a whole episode about throwing a party in your late 20s to early 30s

because you've done some good ones and I would love suggestions on fun activities that feel grown up, but still entertaining. Oh, I am so excited to answer this because I just love throwing parties.

And considering that my SNL party recently, I threw it in sometime in October and everybody

came dressed as their favorite SNL character and we were just like doing bits throughout the night. And SNL ended up reposting that. So I feel like, you know, I have a little bit of ground to stand on here and there's a few parties. I always do like a St. Patrick's Day bar crawl with a bagpiper. And if you're going to say like, oh my God, a bagpiper isn't like actually what they use and I. Come on, it's a party. This episode is all

about how to have a fun party, not how to be correct about the fact. So I want to share a little

bit of what I personally do for these parties, what I think makes them fun and some ideas for

you guys. So what did you say here? Yeah, things that feel grown up but still entertaining. I don't know if

any of my party ideas are grown up, but they are entertaining. So let's get into it. The number one

thing that I think you need in order to throw a banger party is a theme. I love a theme. I miss themed

parties back in college. I feel like that was kind of what made the college experience so great. And then you get older. And now it's a theme. I miss themed parties back in college. I feel like that was kind of what made the

I don't know, New Year's Eve or somebody's birthday, but there's never really a theme around it.

And I feel like that's really lacking in parties nowadays. So I love a theme, an activity, an objective, a little sprinkle on top that gives

the party some zest. And I almost feel like psychologically, you want to have a theme because

you want people to buy into your party. There's the name of a phenomenon or like concept.

And oddly, people use it in the nonprofit and like donation sector where basically

like people are supposed to buy in a little bit so if you give a scholarship to someone for

I don't know like $200,000 they put forth $1,000 or all of those ideas where it's like hey if

you donate our company will match it like there's some sort sort of psychological phenomenon then that a lot of people use for nonprofits. I like to use this for my party. So basically saying that if your party has a theme, like the S&L party, people have to prep a couple weeks in advance. Okay, what character am I going to be? What am I going to wear? If

there's an activity, how do I prepare for it before I show up? Not only does this get people
