Summary

What's your favourite podcast series under WDF's umbrella? We've covered an awful lot, and a wide range of history, from the obscure, to the famous and infamous, to the shockingly misunderstood. We've come a long way in these ten years, and picking ten of my faves was a difficult task, but after a brutal process of elimination, here it is - complete with music to get you all nostalgic.

Do you agree with my choice? Were you surprised by my number one? Thanksss again for a brilliant decade of history podcasting!

Hello and welcome history friends patrons all to another special birthday celebration episode, as promised my top 10 favorite episodes slash series of the last 10 years of when

0:24.3

diplomacy fails. I hope you're enjoying these birthday episodes and that you're maybe keeping

0:29.8

track of which ones sound interesting if you haven't listened to any of these or all of these yet.

0:36.0

Maybe this will make you a bit nostalgic for our

0:38.1

sizable back catalog. I actually took a look there and I think we're nearly at 600 episodes

0:43.9

or we just passed 600 episodes overall. Just in case you weren't aware, if you want to actually

0:49.6

listen to the older, older episodes, you cannot, for whatever reason, listen to them on Spotify, because

0:55.6

Spotify only goes back a certain length, so you'll have to actually use one of those apps,

1:00.3

such as podcast addict, what I use, or overcast or something, I can't remember what their names are,

1:06.6

but you'll have to use one of those traditional apps, and I'm afraid Spotify just won't cut it

1:10.9

because it only goes back a certain time.

1:12.9

Anyway, that's all to say.

1:14.8

I'm very happy that you're joining me today, and I'm very excited to begin here.

1:19.3

So, without any further ado, let's just start.

1:22.7

I don't think there's any rules or laws that I have to state, first of all.

1:26.9

It's fairly self-explanatory. It's a top

1:29.2

10 list starting from 10 and working our way down. I will say, though, that you're probably

1:34.7

going to be surprised about what number one is, and maybe that will keep you sticking around to the

1:39.9

end. If you enjoy this episode, make sure to let people know and tell people that we're celebrating

1:45.9

10 years of history podcasting. Anyway, let's get into this.

1:55.0

So we're going to start by basically breaking the rule from the very beginning.

2:05.1

I know it's not a very good sign, but I couldn't decide between these episodes, these series,
