Well, I have been loving this series.

I don't know about you, and I'm not just saying that to suck up to my boss.

I guess I'll find that out later, but I've just been loving the series, and I'm thrilled to be here at North Point today, continuing the series. I actually have some friends that are joining us up at Brownsbridge today, so hello to you guys up at Brownsbridge as well. But I'm excited we're doing this because as we talk about these songs,

hopefully you're feeling like this, they become more meaningful. And not only that, it helps you understand that what we sing matters. These thoughts that we put into our minds, these things that we dwell on, they really matter. And if you haven't been with us in this series, basically what we're doing is we're taking a closer look at some of the songs that we sing. You can say we're exeating them. That's a Bible term for how we're trying to

excavate some meaning out of them. And great worship songs, the best worship songs. In fact,

you may not know this, but we're really choosy about what we're willing to sing and what we're

not willing to sing. great songs contain good theology and

important truth. And when you repeat those truths, some of you know this. It actually can rewire and

change what's in your mind. It can actually change your brain. And so we've been unpacking

some core truths from the songs that we sing that resonate and hopefully they're going to resonate more

deeply because we want you to feel them when you sing them. We want you to feel them when we

sing them together. We want you to understand what you're singing and understand the significance

of that, not just in the moment as we show up all together corporately and sing songs, but what

these mean for our lives as we walk out of this place and try to live lives of worship, not just sing in worship. We've been focusing on a lot of songs that are sort of a takes me back song. Some of you have takes me back songs, all sorts of different songs. I mean, this is a universal thing. You hear a song on the radio and it sort of takes you back to a moment in time. Some of you

have that with worship songs. This song today is less of a takes me back song and more of a brings me back song. And part of the reason is, is because it's a fairly new song. But it's a brings me back song to a truth that I need to return to over and over. And for some of you today, this is going to be sort of new.

Not only is the song going to be new.

Our song is Spirit of God,

and it's by our own North Point worship crew, Clay Finnisson, some of you know him, he leaves worship. Brandon Coker's written several of our songs. He's a drummer, Michael Monroe and Kobe, or they wrote this song. And this song, Spirit of God, for me, it brings me back to an important truth that matters day to day.

Now, before we jump in to the lyrics of this song and what's behind it, we're going to have to

take a moment to get on the same page about the subject of this song. We don't talk about the

Holy Spirit all that often, and maybe we should talk about it more often. But here's the thing,
