I want to call out my father and sister-in-law for being selfish.

I don't think they've ever cared about our family.

I, 32 female, have been married to my amazing hubby, 37 male, for 10 years.

We live in a small town where I was born and raised and have a huge family.

So, my hubby is not from here, but his mom's extended family is here. Our town is where his parents

decided to retire. My sister-in-law lives in another state. One brother-in-law lives several

hours away in the same state as us, and my other brother-in-law lives out of the country.

So it's us, the kiddos, and his parents as far as his family is concerned.

Family hierarchy breakdown? I said I mixed them up. Close enough. Close enough. My family has

always welcomed my in-laws for holidays and family functions. My family

has also helped us when my in-laws got sick. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law passed away a few years

ago after suffering from dementia. This woman was a saint and we missed her terribly. My hubby and I

were here to help with my mother-in-law. We would come over and help, cook, and clean, and take them to the doctor's appointments.

My sister-in-law never came down and would avoid coming here at all costs.

She would rather make her elderly parents pay to travel and see her.

That's gross.

When she did come and visit, she would still be working from home,
