Summary

In this episode, I virtually sit down with Erica and Molly from Shooter’s Gotta Shoot podcast. We discuss the “making sure you got home safe text,” living with a friend, no reach no second date, why you need to bring cash on a date, if is it a sign they aren't into you if they let you split the bill, how to bring up paying equally in a relationship, men being more insecure about saying how much they make, why my BF and I split rent, me being a serial monogamist, my secrets to get guys, why exclusivity is trash, using read receipts to your ad- vantage, and more. The episode starts with a solo where I discuss how to ask the person you’re dating about their past relationships, sleeping in separate beds, being honest in therapy, dating in winter quarantine, and my astrology reading.

Hey guys, welcome back to We Minute Acme. I can't believe it's already December 20th, like where

0:12.3

has the month gone? And also it's so weird that winter doesn't actually start until tomorrow, like

0:20.4

who knew? So this podcast today is one of my favorites that we've done in a while. It's with

0:26.7

Erica and Molly from Shooters got a shoot podcast and they are just hysterical. Like I loved

0:33.8

recording with them on their podcast, which you should absolutely check out. And I was so happy

0:39.3

to have them on We Minute Acme. I like could not stop talking to them. And I definitely think that

0:44.8

we should have them back because they're really great. And I think you're going to enjoy the episode

0:50.3

a lot. But before we get into it, we're going to do a little solo where I answer some of your

0:54.8

questions and then just get right to it. So somebody asked, if we have a podcast where we discuss

1:02.0

how to ask the person that you're dating about their past relationships and do's and don'ts of

1:07.6

that conversation or just to even start this conversation and how to ensure that it's constructive.

1:14.7

So for me, I have always thought that it's really important to get this over with in the

1:20.5

beginning of dating, meaning like between dates one and three. And it's not always that seamless.

1:28.0

Like I've dated people who are more reserved when it comes to talking about X's. But to approach

1:33.9

the conversation, I think it's okay to say something like when was your last relationship.

1:38.9

And the reason is because that's a pretty standard conversation in dates like one to three.

1:45.1

I think that you want to know if someone is recently out of a relationship. You want to know if

1:51.2

someone hasn't had a relationship in a while. Not because you're judging them, but because it

1:56.4

puts things into perspective. Like if you don't ask that question early on, what if they

2:00.8

were engaged and broke it off and you'd know what if they're divorced, they're really important

2:06.4

things that come up around the conversation. So I would say do's like do be open-minded.
