0:28.5	I've never been very good using a prayer list. I'll just make a confession to you. I've
0:33.3	used many prayer lists through the years, but for me, sometimes they just become a rut.
0:38.3	I think it was Vance Havner that once said that a rut is just a grave with both ends knocked out of it.

0:44.3	And so I've had to learn how to change my prayer list from time to time, how to keep it fresh.
0:50.3	Many times I'll create a new prayer list just for that day so that I don't just get in the habit of just reading off of a piece of paper.
0:58.2	But I think one of the great secrets about prayer list
1:00.7	is not just that you have people on the list,
1:03.6	but that you're praying for specific things,
1:05.7	and you're praying for the right things.
1:07.9	I want to challenge you to take Jesus' prayer list
1:10.4	that we're studying in
1:11.1	John 17 and make it your own because it concentrates on all the true to great spiritual
1:16.9	things. He begins by praying that the Father will be glorified. We should pray that in
1:21.5	our own life today. Lord, be glorified in me and be glorified in those I love. He prays
1:26.5	they'll come to know God and the Lord Jesus in a personal way.
1:31.7	He prays that they will be kept from evil, kept in every way.
1:36.7	He prays they'll be kept from division in verse 11.
1:40.2	He prays they'll be kept from discouragement in verse 13.
