| 0:00.0 | What's going on, guys? Welcome back at the Jeremy Scott Fender's podcast, radio show. |
| 0:03.4 | Coming to you hot on this Thursday morning here, where it just was 116 degrees in the valley yesterday, |
| 0:11.3 | but it's a dry heat, so it's not that bad. If you want to imagine like opening up your oven, |
| 0:17.8 | when you go at the front door of your house, that essentially is what we have |
| 0:21.0 | going on here right now. But I can't complain because you do not have to shovel sunshine. |
| 0:26.2 | And I'll take this 100 plus degrees all day long over the subzero temperatures and shoveling |
| 0:32.3 | snow, which I had to do as a kid growing up. And that stuff just sucks. But that's just my |
| 0:36.5 | personal preference i hate |
| 0:38.2 | the cold i'll take this all day long even though it is a little bit toasty so which brings me to |
| 0:45.4 | the point of my podcast today uh we're talking about a perfect day and i've said this before another |
| 0:50.6 | podcast i don't think perfect exists in almost any arena, other than |
| 0:54.2 | maybe sports. You know, you can have, you know, a perfect bowling game. You can have, you know, pitch a perfect baseball game, things like that. But in terms of the totality of a day, I don't think an entire day can be perfect. And what I mean by that is I don't think there's ever been a day where you guys wake up and you know everybody's nice to you um you hit |
| 1:12.8 | every single green light you find a hundred bucks cash you know laying on the floor things like that |
| 1:17.4 | odds are throughout your day you know somebody might cut you off in traffic you might hit a red |
| 1:21.7 | light somebody might you know say something to you or be pissed off or something will go not as planned i guess if you will so meaning the day |
| 1:30.3 | is not perfect but i i don't think we need to strive for perfection in almost anything |
| 1:34.4 | it's nice uh to have the ideal of it but nobody's perfect and nothing really is and so the people |
| 1:40.9 | who are perfectionist and waste so much time effort and energy on that i think, I think they're holding themselves back. And I believe they're getting, they almost have like a paralysis, you know, by analysis. They're so worried about in focusing on, you know, not launching something or not doing something, not, you know, not starting public speaking, not writing a book, not starting a workout program, not doing this, not doing that because they need to be perfect and they're not ready just yet. But if we all did that, I don't think any of us would ever be fucking ready. And I'm not from the school of, you know, ready, aim, fire. I come from the school of ready, fire, aim, and then clean up the shit later on. Now is perfect i don't know if it is but for me it works |
| 2:18.9 | uh we get way more stuff out that way and i learn by failing so i failed a shit ton of my life you guys |
| 2:24.8 | more on more things than you guys will probably ever try but i try to fail fast and i try to fail |
| 2:30.2 | often and then i learn from that i clean up the shit and then by the time you guys typically |
| 2:33.5 | see stuff it looks you know passable uh if not but definitely not perfect by any means so that's the point |
